Le charme de ce manoir, chargé d'histoire est incontestable surtout avec l'accueil pro et chaleureux que nous avons reçu !
On a adoré cette escale. Je recommande chaleureusement même si je mets un léger bémol sur le petit-déjeuner que nous avons trouvé un peu en-dessous de nos attentes pour cette offre d'hébergement.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this lovely hotel. On both occasions, we received a warm welcome and the hotel is located in the historical old town, close to restaurants and the fascinating Chateau d’Amboise.

We had the most wonderful stay at Le Manoir Saint Thomas. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Our room was sumptuous and we felt we’d stepped back into the past with the amazing beamed ceilings and beautiful diamond-paned, stained glass windows. However, we also had all the mod cons we have come to enjoy in a modern world. The manoir is located in the old town within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants and tourist spots…including the incredible chateau. Breakfast was leisurely and had everything we could possibly need to start our day on the right note. We enjoyed our stay so much, we’re booking another night for our return journey to the U.K!

Chambre au calme, spacieuse et très confortable, nous avons très bien dormi. Et surtout très apprécié le côté "cocooning" et cosy de l'hôtel. Idéal pour un week-end en amoureux et pour visiter la région.

Merveilleux séjour malgré une météo pas top. Nous avons dîné le soir au manoir devant la cheminée avec un très bon verre de vin et monsieur Gérald est au petit soin avec ses hôtes.
Manoir très intimiste, je recommande et au plaisir de refaire un séjour au Manoir St Thomas.

This is a beautiful historical house with elegantly appointed rooms situated right in Amboise center village with a beautiful pool and garden and very helpful parking. We loved walking just five minutes to cafés excellent restaurants and shops and Clos Luce chateau.

Le Château de la Rivière est une véritable perle où le raffinement et l'histoire se rencontrent. Dès votre arrivée, l’élégance de ce lieu historique vous séduit. La chambre du roi (LouisXIV), allie confort moderne et charme d'antan. Le repas sur place est un festin, alliant des saveurs locales de saison et une certaine finesse culinaire. La visite du château vous plonge dans un univers fascinant, entre beauté architecturale et récit historique. Un séjour inoubliable dans un cadre d’exception !

Bonjour, tout était parfait. Seulement le chauffage de la salle de bain qui ne fonctionnait pas bien. La salle de bain de la chambre 7 fait un peu désuète par rapport au reste de la chambre. L’accueil très chaleureux pour dîner devant la cheminée, tous les livres et les jeux, les lumières douces et tamisées de la pièce confèrent une ambiance très accueillante, on s y sent vraiment bien. Le personnel a été hyper attentif et a mis à notre disposition un chauffage d appoint dans la salle de bains quand on leur a signalé que le chauffage n’y fonctionnait pas très bien. Bravo pour la décoration. En revanche la pièce du petit déjeuner était un peu froide, il aurait fallu aussi un feu de cheminée. Mais tout reste très réjouissant ! Bravo à l équipe et bravo pour cet emplacement que je recommanderai d ailleurs plus que le clos d’Amboise qui a perdu sa décoration douillette…

I just returned from a two week tour of France and I can say without hesitation that this hotel was the definite highlight of a great vacation. From the initial introductory e-mail requesting our room preferences to the our initial check-in with the staff, everything was absolutely perfect! If you are staying in Amboise, I doubt that you can find better accomodations.

je pense dans le futur, s'il était possible d'avoir le dîner a l'hôtel ce serait parfait. nous avons observé, qu'il y a toujours de nouvelles et petites améliorations décoratives et cela est vraiment bien.

The hotel rooms’ isolation should be improved. We could hear people talking in the corridor and it woke us up. It’s be great too to have more electricity sockets near the bed as well as the desks.

Excellent friendly warm welcoming helpful English speaking staff. Beautiful historic building very well cared for, comfortable bed, lots of lighting available, very clean, excellent location, walking distance to castles/chateaux and good restaurants and shops. Parking on site if needed. Lovely grounds around the hotel. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel in active location in Amboise. Close to everything, 20 min easy walk from train station (we had luggage too!). Buffet breakfasts for 18 euro per person were perfect, fresh pastries, juices, breads and made to order eggs (extra 2 euro). Staff was very helpful and our room was large and comfortable. A very enjoyable stay!

The hotel was quite lovely. We had a very large room on the first floor. Clean, spacious and well stocked amenities. Nice breakfast available. Helpful and courteous staff. Would recommend this hotel for travelers to Ambroise.

We were here in early October 2024 for 3 nights. Greeted by warm staff who were very helpful with information, making drinks in their bar, making reservations for restaurants. The place is as pictured online, comfortable rooms that are clean and quiet. Free parking and WiFi. Great location to walk everywhere in Amboise.

Despite the fact that hotel itself is very nice and excellently located, our stay had a somehow bitter taste as:
we specifically asked for 2 separate beds in the room and instead we were just given 2 duvets, but still 1 bed. Secondly, before breakfast we precised whether we had it included in the booking, already paid and we have been confirmed that it is. However, after breakfast, which was, by the way, very scarce, we eventually had to pay extra 20 euros each.

Superbe petit hôtel très bien situé dans Amboise. Parking privé. Piscine chauffée qui a été particulièrement appréciée pendant les fortes chaleurs.

Au delà d'un séjour en immersion totale dans la belle et riche histoire de France, nous avons tout aimé dans cet établissement, la chambre spacieuse décorée avec goût, la quiétude de l'environnement à deux pas du centre ville. Nous tenons par ailleurs, à souligner tout particulièrement la qualité, la sympathie, et le professionnalisme du personnel. Nous recommandons sans hésitation aucune ce bel écrin.

The perfect small hotel for our stay in the Loire. Had everything we wanted. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, extremely friendly and helpful staff, swimming pool to refresh after a day out, very good breakfast in a nice breakfast room. We stayed in 3rd floor King room, so elevator came in very handy. Amboise is charming and has some excellent restaurants (Les Arpents and La Breche). Walkable to the Chateau Amboise and Clos Luce (which is a gem). Also easy walk for bike rental for a cycle out to see beautiful Chenonceau.

Petit déjeuner insuffisant. Nous aimons le petite déjeuner traditionnel avec du bon pain et avec le choix de différentes variétés.
Le choix était limité à une baguette, et du pain aux céréales industriel.

Our stay at Le Manoir Saint Thomas was lovely. The hotel is wonderfully decorated, clean, and unique. We enjoyed the easy walk to the chateau and restaurants in Amboise. When we arrived, the staff held our bags before check-in which was much appreciated. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly kind and courteous.

The room was fairly spacious, atmospheric, quiet, and comfortable. Bathroom was luxurious with a very large soaking tub. We asked for a quiet room and it was provided. We felt it was a little bit warm in our room for sleeping as it was on the upper floor, so they happily turned the air conditioning on for us. It was central air rather than one of those box units of blow on you, so it was a much more consistent and comfortable temperature for a good sleep. Our room was also nice and quiet. I actually quite loved this hotel and wished we had been staying another night (we stay two nights). We travel quite a bit, and I felt this hotel exceeded expectations, and it went out of their way to provide comfort to their guests. The location was also great. They had plenty of umbrellas for used as we had rainy weather during our stay. The one day we did have nice weather they opened the pool up just for my husband to use as he enjoys a swim. Thank you!!
