Very conveniently located. Reasonably priced, Pleasant experience!
Great place to stay in the center of Paris! Highly recommended!
Very pleasant stay! The hotel was in a central location, close to the lovely Luxumbourg gardens.
The 6th arrondissement is for me the essence of Paris, and Hotel Michelet Odeon is my home base of choice. I chose it because of its location, but I'll be back because of the staff. The location: near metro and RER stops for Odeon and Luxembourg, just across Blvd St. Michel from the Latin Quarter, a quiet and historic neighborhood full of cafes and shops but no major sights, so it's not too touristy. The staff are friendly and helpful: I didn't get all their names but I recall Samir and Solange. They solve any problems that arise and are proactive about possible ones: for example, when the RER was considering a strike, they suggested we call a shuttle for the airport (and sure enough, the strike happened.) Our family, 2 adults and a teen, couldn't get the same room for consecutive nights, so staff suggested that we book two nights in one room, then one, then one, and it worked out, and they even made the room changes as painless as possible by allowing our teen to sleep in until noon. Since we sampled 3 rooms, we can report that the RC (floor 0) has nice family suites, no AC but functional fans, and windows looking out on quiet side streets (no screens, but fewer bugs than in other parts of France.) The fifth floor has a wonderful view but spotty WiFi and seriously uneven floors, plus the elevator only goes to the 4th floor. The rooms themselves look somewhat dated, with decor from a few decades back, but the bathrooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is 12 euros, very convenient especially if you have family members that wake at different times, and buffet style, so you have a choice of items, and surprisingly good coffee from an automatic machine, but you can also choose to go to any of the neighborhood cafes for something more picturesque. A nearby hotel I stayed in before got updated and now is too expensive (and a little intimidating) so give me Hotel Michelet Odeon: friendly rather than fashionable, and genuinely nice.
Good option, excellent location and nice place to stay.
