We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Michelet Odeon from August 8 to 11th with family and friends. We chose the hotel as it is very close to the cinema Meccas dear to us: the Champolion movie theatre and the Filmatheque du Quartier Latin that show great movie revivals and festivals. We were impressed by the kindness of the reception gentlemen, especially Mr. Jean Silvestre in the evening who bent over backwards to find us some rooms in another hotel as we had checked out of the Michelet Odeon and were stuck in Paris one more night due to a car rental mishap, as the Michelet Odeon was full. He really cared about us and our misfortune. Staying at this hotel, you are really at home away from home. So, we will come back! It is also good to note that parking is easy in the nearby street in the evening, until 9am. The only thing I truly wanted in this hotel was the ability to make myself a nice cup of tea in my room. French people often ignore the need for British people to just sit down in their room and make themselves a cup of tea to relax and truly feel at home. Maybe it would be too expensive for the hotel. Well, at least they should provide it to their British customers for whom it is such a big deal!! Ha Ha

Too hot in Paris for a room with no air conditioning
The location was excellent. Close to metro, Luxembourg Gardens, restaurants and shops. The room was nice with two windows giving good cross ventilation. The front desk clerk was not especially friendly or helpful.
Our only complaint was the excessive heat in Paris during our stay. Our first night was miserable as the large window in our room*8 wouldn’t open. Our room was stifling! The manager opened the window the next day and provided us with water. With the fan and fresh air the room temperature was bearable but still uncomfortable. It was unfortunate on our first visit to Paris to have had to endure the heat through our stay and the many activities we had planned.
I stayed in the Hotel 3 night with my family for the birthay of our daughter; a chance to go to Disneyland e to see Paris. The Hotel is in a central zone close to the Luxemburg gardens and Notre Dame (both by feet), quiet zone bu a the same time full of restaurant for all the wallets, markets and shops. The Hotel stay in a wonderful and quiet square close to the Odeon theater. it's little but cheap, clean and has everything you need for your staying in holiday. It has also a reception 24h and the staff is gently and always available.
